Went back to the Bush to for the start of a new school year. Many of the children thought the school would not open because I had gotten sick. We will be bringing the other half of the tent to open new classes very soon. There were too many children under the one tent. We will buy tent poles to erect the other tent so that school can continue to grow and these children can continue to learn.
We met with the parents and they were so excited that we will be adding another class or two. If we raise the money for two more teachers, then we will be able to add the other grades. The parents were so excited to know that back in my home town of New Orleans Victory Christian Academy would be collecting uniforms for the children; especially shirts, sweatshirts or sweaters.
We are believing to be able to start a new business by buying uniform material and start making other uniforms. The cost for each uniform is about $5.00. Instead of paying someone from outside to make these uniforms for our children; I am going to hire a teacher to teach some of the parents to sew. We will buy a sewing machine and make our own uniforms as the parents continue to learn. The sewing machine is about $90.00 and the teacher will charge $30.00 per month to teach about 10 people. After our people learn how to make these uniforms we will no longer have to hire out or buy from somewhere else. The cost comes out to about the same but will own a sewing machine and this will create income and teach a trade for about 10 people.
We are also starting a chicken project with the young adults here. We will buy 4 mature chickens and 1 male for three people. Each chicken will cost about $4.50. Within three months we will evaluate the care and progress of those chickens. After 3 months each person should have 20 chickens and they will take 5 of those chickens and start someone else in the same project, keep 2 for themselves and sell the remainder of the chickens when they are mature. If we can get wire it will be safer for the chickens not to be eaten by mountain cats, large lizards or hawks. Wire for fencing is about $40.00 per roll but it is only a onetime cost.
The ladies here we will start a goat project. We will buy a small goat for about $16.00. After 3 months it will be ready for mating. Gestation period is about 3 months and each goat will produce 1-3 goats (lets us believe for 3). They will then give one goat to someone else to start a new project, keep one for them, and sell the other.
The car is still down but hopefully it will be fixed soon so we can bring the tent for Victory Academy’s second phase. Once the car is fixed we will go to Bugiri where we will open Aurora Nursery and Primary School construction. Woo hoo! Things are moving.
The Holy Spirit fell so strong in the Sunday service this past Sunday. There was no “Preaching” necessary , the joy erupted like never before, we danced , we sang, a few hundred children danced around like a train, and I went in and out of the church with so many kids following me around. I felt a holiness fall into the place in such a strong way. My feet gave out and I had to kneel to worship. I was drunk (in the spirit) for hours and couldn’t talk at all. What an awesome thing! There was a lady manifesting in the back trying to interrupt the service, we just took authority and shut those spirits up. There was young girl that no one knew and had no idea where she came from that came running to the church… Florence was called to pray for her, the girl vomited and then fainted at right there at the door. Florence prayed for her and the Lord brought her back up and she joined in the dancing and singing. People repented, renewed visions, etc etc Whoaaaaaa! I’m glad I was there.
